Topics in Education: Artificial Intelligence and Education
Access: Open to all students except MEd Counselling
The course will take up the history of artificial intelligence to present day as a foundation to consider the potential for AI to empower educational systems. A forward-looking attitude towards application of new technologies will be balanced with a critique that considers the perils of exploring new possibilities.
Overall, the course will attempt to discover the vast potential of Generative AI in reshaping the educational landscape while undertaking a comprehensive look into the applications of modern Large Language Models (LLMs) across diverse educational roles.

Location: 50% in person at Acadia and 50% synchronous online - classroom location available upon registration
