Current Research & Theory in Curriculum - Language, Literacy and Learning
This online course will provide learners with an opportunity to explore the connections between oral language and literacy development with a focus on understanding students who have language learning differences. Through readings, videos, online conversations and interactive experiences learners will consider questions such as “How do the different components of oral language (pragmatics, semantics, syntax and phonology) connect to literacy development?” How can language learning differences affect literacy learning and school success?” “What are effective strategies to enhance literacy learning for students with language differences?”
