Counselling Families

This is an introductory course in counselling families and systemic approaches. In addition to an examination of the philosophical and historical underpinnings of family therapy, the course examines systemic theories and family therapy research. Students will have opportunities to consider the practical application of those theories to working with parents/guardians, couples, and families in school and agency settings. Prerequisites: EDUC 5033
