Counselling Skills

This course focuses on salient conditions, skills, and processes that have been associated through research with effective counsellor-client relationships and positive client growth. Through participation in lectures, discussions, and structured exercises, including role playing and video-recorded simulated counselling sessions, students integrate multiple skills into the beginnings of a therapeutic process. Prerequisite or concurrent: EDUC 5033
