Clinical Mental Health Counselling

This course provides a foundation for working with clients who are living with mental illness. Students will become familiar with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, and become conversant with evidence-supported and emerging approaches to treatment/intervention. The intent of the course is to establish a critical, conceptual, and procedural framework across the mental health continuum. Prereq: Educ 5033, 5133 and 50J3
